The Interior Design Society (IDS) was founded in 1973, and with more than 4000 members, is the largest design organization exclusively dedicated to serving the residential interior design industry. The IDS National headquarters is located in High Point, NC, the world’s home furnishings capital. Membership in The Interior Design Society attests commitment to excellence in the field of residential design.  IDS is an association comprised of residential designers; interior decorators; design-oriented home furnishings stores and their staff; design studios; select manufacturers and distributors of design oriented products or services.
Designers are professionals who have dedicated their entire careers to creating a special look for each customer. Space planning; selecting furnishings, floor coverings, accessories, window treatments and lighting; coordinating color, texture and finishes add a unique signature within a space.

Designers can transform an undefined palette into the vision you are dreaming of owning. IDS designers specialize in residential interior design. Each IDS designer uses his or her own education and experience in their specialized field to provide a finished look that reflects a professional touch.
